She is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, but loves every minute of living in Austin, Texas!
Sarah Hennigan (Director of Photography)
A Dallas-born Cherokee, Sarah grew up on-set and backstage, and has been involved in the arts ever since. Her life-long love for film and television led her to pursue film theory as an undergraduate. She then simultaneously fell in love with filmmaking and travel while studying abroad at FAMU International in Prague, and working for a documentary production company in London. Though she primarily focuses on narrative writing and filmmaking, she is also passionate about Native representation in popular culture. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College as a Film Studies major with a correlate sequence in Native American Studies. She is currently an MFA Candidate in Film Production at the University of Texas at Austin.
Paul Popiel (Producer)
Paul moved to Austin from Los Angeles, where he wrote and directed several award-winning shorts. He also worked as a development consultant for an independent production company, Rebel Media, where he aided in the development of countless film and television scripts. Aside from the food, the music, and the overall vibe, Paul's currently in Austin to pursue his Master's in Media Studies at UT. And when he catches a break, he goes rock climbing.
Jing Yang (Director)
Jing Yang is an Austin-based director, photographer, mother, and swing dancer. Jing’s films have screened at many festivals, including Austin Film Festival, Lone Star Film Festival, Sarasota Film Festival, Women in Film and TV International Showcase, DC Chinese Film Festival, and Black Warrior Film Festival. Jing is constantly fascinated and inspired by people she encounters and their stories. Visual storytelling and dancing are two of her biggest passions.
